December Magazine Freebie

Another magazine I picked up recently was the December issue of Glamour. I was deciding on whether or not to get this mag, because to me it was just a free nail polish. However, I read a few other blogs that had talked about how good nails inc polishes were.

I found out that Nails Inc Polishes are worth £11 each and with this mag you get it for £2. You also get other freebies such as a free H&M 20% off card, and free Body Shop secret christmas gift card, with either £3,£5,£100 or £1000. The good thing about the body shop card is that there is no minimum spend needed and the minimum amount you can get is £3.

There are 4 shades to collect:

Hanover Square - Dark Berry Red

Tate - Bright Red

Wigmore Street - Dark Purple/Blue

Marylebone Mews - Light Lilac/Grey

My Natural Lipsticks - Rimmel London, H&M, Bourjois

So, guys I thought I would do a review on my Natural Lipsticks. I have only started to were more natural shades of lipsticks in the past few years. I don't know why, but I was never drawn towards them before. I usually opt for a pink shade because I love PINK! lol, but the natural look has appealed to me because of the fashion trend is always changing.

The first lipstick is by Rimmel London and its part of their Kate Moss range. I think the shade is called Beige.

  • The good point about this lipstick is that the colour is highly pigmented.
  • The Bad point is that i find this lipstick too dry on the lips, so it doesn't look great on the lips after a while.

The second is more of a lip pen and its by H&M. This doesn't have a shade name.

  • The good point is that the lip pen is moisturizing.
  • The bad point is that its not very pigmented.
I tend to use the Rimmel and the H&M lipsticks together to give me a better natural lip look.

The Third is a liquid lipstick by Bourjois. This is part of their rouge edition velvet. The Shade is number 8.

  • The good point is that its highly pigmented, and it lasts on the lips for at least 8hrs. (Its lasts longer depending on how much you drink and eat).
  •  The only bad point i can think of is its price. this is because its priced around £8.99 so many people will opt for a cheaper lipstick. However, this is really good for its price.

If you guys have any favorite Natural lipsticks that you like, just put them in the comment box below and I would love to review them. :)

Clinique 3 step Skin Care

I purchased this 3 step face wash set a few months ago, because I wanted to try out a different routine. I decided to buy the small sample set so that I could see if I would benefit from it. The small sample set costs around £20 and it lasts for a month, and it allows you to wash your face day and night.

Firstly, I will tell you what the Clinique 3-step skin care system is about:
  • Create the cleanest, healthiest version of your skin
  • Just 3 products, 3 minutes, twice a day
  • Choose your Skin type
After I used the sample set in type 1, I noticed a big difference in my skin. My skin felt more hydrated, softer and more glowing. This also helped my foundation go on better too.

I would recommend talking to an adviser at Clinique first, so that you can find out which type you need as this comes in 4 different types.
  • Type 1 - Very Dry To Dry Skin
  • Type 2 - Dry Combination Skin
  • Type 3 - Combination Oily Skin
  • Type 4 - Oily Skin

I have read many reviews where people have tried this 3 step system and it didn't work for them. So I would recommend thinking about the product and trying it before you purchase the larger bottles.

If you have any comments, don't hesitate and drop them in the box below. :)

Product review - Bubblegum Lip Scrub by Lush

I think that one of the winter season must have products is the Lush Lip scrubs. This is because they come in a small handy pocket size jar, so it is easy to carry.

The lip scrub that I chose was the bubblegum flavour as it stood out to me, and I have a sweet tooth.

So, i bet your thinking why I chose this product as a winter must have? Well, its because everyone tends to get dry lips in this season and the natural oils in this product help to restore your lips, as well as removing any dead skin.

Wait, that's not all... the best part is that its all edible!! So you can lick those lips clean. This is also available in many other flavours and there is a limited edition Santa lip scrub for this season too, which I can't wait to try.

If you guys have any questions, don't hesitate to message me or comment below, :)

Product Review - The New Charity Pot by Lush

So today I thought I would talk about my First Lush product that I purchased. This is the New Charity Pot.

I was first introduced to Lush products a few years a go, when I was given a Lush bath bomb Christmas gift set from one of my friends. I fell in love with the products and I wanted to try more.

Now back to the New Charity Pot. This is a Hand and Body Lotion it is very light on the skin and has a nice rosy scent. The thing I love about this lotion is that all of the money from this product goes towards different charities.

Another, reason why this lotion is very popular is because it is free from animal testing and all lush products are vegetarian.

November Magazine Freebie

Another magazine I purchased this week was the Marie Claire Magazine (November Issue). This mag comes with a L'Occitane hand lotion. There are four to collect, such as: zesty lime, delightful rose, vanilla and shea butter.

I purchased the lime and rose hand lotions to try out as I have never tried any of the L'Occitane products before. I am not too keen on the lime one as I feel like it has a sickening lime smell, but the rose one smells quite flowery. The texture of the cream is smooth and light.

The good thing about this mag is that the freebie is a full size product, which is 30ml. It also comes with a sample of another lotion inside.

December Magazine Freebie

So one of the Magazines I bought this Month (December) is the ELLE Magazine due to its free mini Benefit They're Real Gel Eyeliner!

I had to get this Mag due to the fact that it was a Benefit freebie because I am a huge fan for branded makeup.

The eyeliner that comes with the magazine is a bit on the small side. However, I found that it glides on well and it helps to create flicks easily.

So a bit about the Benefit eyeliner. Well it is the first lash-hugging gel liner in a pen form. This is due to the flexible tip on the pen.
